With carefully developed Christian biblical world-view curriculum, your student will grow in pre-kindergarten academic knowledge that is perfectly centered around the Lord. Students will engage in age-appropriate biblical concepts that will strengthen their spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
About Mrs. Ortega
Irene Ortega, Owner/Director/Teacher
I have been a devoted follower of Jesus since 2007 and, alongside my husband, I am dedicated to raising our two children in the faith. We have been together since 2003 and married since 2007, with Jesus as the cornerstone of our lives. Maintaining a daily relationship with Him is of utmost importance to us.
I hold a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Studies. My journey in early education began in late 2007/early 2008. From 2011 to 2021, I owned and operated an academic preschool program for children ages 2-5. Additionally, I served as the Children’s Ministry Director at our church, ministering to children from birth through 5th grade.
In February 2022, we relocated from California to Texas to raise our children in an environment that closely aligns with our spiritual beliefs. During the 2022-2023 school year, I worked at a local Christian school as the Preschool Director and also taught 3-days as a preschool teacher. It was during this time that God stirred my heart to return to my passion for leading my own program and guiding young hearts to Him. This calling led to the establishment of Heart of Jesus Preschool, which officially opened on August 28th, 2023.
I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with families in leading and educating their children in the Lord, and in preparing them for Kindergarten. Most importantly, please know that I pray for each child in my class every day and will continue to do so throughout the year.
